History of the Nissan Skyline GTR

The history of the Nissan Skyline GTR stretches back to the mid-60s, when Prince automobile company merged with Nissan-Datsun in 1967. The earliest predecessor of the GTR, the S54 2000 GT-B, came second in its very first race in 1964 to the Porsche 904 GTS, to the delight of the home crowd, the Skyline was seen to overtake a Porsche 904GTS during the race. The legend of the GTR Skyline had begun. The abbreviation GTR stands for Gran Turismo Racer.
The next generation of the GTR, was the four-door PGC10 2000 GTR which had 33 victories in the one and a half years it raced, its run was ended by a Mazda Savanna RX-3 attempting its 50th consecutive win. The Skyline GTR took 1000 victories by the time it was discontinued in 1972. The last of the original GTRs was the KPGC110 2000GTR which used an unchanged S20 160 hp (120 kW) inline-6 engine from the earlier 2000 GTR. This model was the only GTR that never participated in a major race. There is one purpose-built racecar which now resides at Nissan's storage unit for historical cars which is in Zama.
16 years after the KPGC110 Skyline GTR of 1973, the GTR version of the Skyline was back in the form of the eighth generation Skyline R32 in 1989. The GTR was the flagship of Nissan performance, it showcased lots of advanced technologies including there four-wheel drive system "ATTESA-ETS" and the Super-HICAS four-wheel steering.
GTR Skylines of the 1990s progressed from the R32 (1989) to the R33 (1995) through to the R34 (1999). Production of the Skyline GTR ceased in August 2002. The Nissan GTR, although it doesn't carry the "Skyline" badge anymore, it still has its heritage in the Nissan Skyline GTR. Ther were two concept vehicles displayed at motor shows prior to the unveiling of the production car. The first concept was shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2001 to show what a 21st century GTR would look like. And at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan displayed a redesigned concept, saying that the production GTR would be 80-90% based on this concept. The production version of the Nissan GTR debuted at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.

Mother's Day :')

Mother.

Mothers are the place where love
Emerges from the earth,
And happiness rings out like bells
In honor of our birth.
Mothers are the sun that lights
For life our inner sky,
So we may know that we are loved
And need not question why.

Mothers are the moon that shines
Upon our black despair,
So even when we weep, we know
That someone's always there.

Whatever fear, or stress, or pain
Might them to anger move,
We know that underneath the storm
We have, always, their love.

Philips' plan to light Malaysian highway :'I

"Concerted action on climate change is a social responsibility," it says on its website.
In Asia, the policy is translated into aggressive deals with governments, to switch conventional light bulbs with light-emitting diode (LED) lights, which it claims cut both energy use and carbon emissions by more than half.
Philips has so far been responsible for lighting numerous landmark projects across Asia, including the KLCC twin tower in Malaysia, the Singapore Flyer in Singapore, Bhumibol Bridge connecting southern Bangkok with Samut Prakan Province in Thailand, the Power Monument in the Philippines, Hangzhou Canal in China, Stonecutters' Bridge in Hong Kong, Ci-Shan Bridge in Taiwan, the facade of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in India and Christchurch International Airport tower in New Zealand.
Philips' latest deal in Asia, in its bid to light city streets in a sustainable manner, is a deal with the Malaysian government to light a 63.1-kilometre stretch of highway, including the roads leading to Subang Airport, the Federal Highway and Middle Ring Road 2, with Philips LED road-lighting technology.
Malaysian Works Minister Yang Berhormat Dato' Shaziman Bin Abu Mansor said Philips products were chosen because of their advanced technology and sustainable development.
Philips Lighting's senior vice pres
ident and general manager for emerging markets Olivier Piccolin said switching to energy-efficient LED lighting systems for public infrastructure projects provided a triple-win proposition by improving safety and security, beautifying the landscape and reducing energy consumption. It also helps to achieve a green-solutions status for Malaysia, as envisioned in the government's 10th Malaysian Plan.
The contract between Philips and the Ministry of Works is a progressive milestone to help realise the government's plan to accelerate implementation of its energy-efficiency initiatives. The plan ensures urban areas are vibrant and liveable while enhancing Malaysian's confidence in public safety.
Philips claims that its LED road-lighting technology is able to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by more than half. The highway-lighting project is just one initiative towards creating a greener future in line with the Malaysian Prime Minister's agenda to cope with global warming.
"Cool white LED light not only adds beauty to buildings, streets and the cityscape at night, it also enhances the overall image of the city and improves road safety and comfort," Piccolin said.
Under Philips' Vision 2015, the company plans to further expand its brand and extend its lead in sustainability. Lighting is one of its areas of focus, in the belief that human life revolves around light. Its lighting sector concentrates on innovative ways of using light to enhance people's lives in the home, at school, at work, in shops and public places, as well as on the road.
The company promises to pay special attention to maximising the effect of lighting while minimising the energy required to produce it.

How to learn

Speak without Fear
The biggest problem most people face in learning a new language is their own fear. They worry that they won’t say things correctly or that they will look stupid so they don’t talk at all.  Don’t do this.  The fastest way to learn anything is to do it – again and again until you get it right.  Like anything, learning English requires practice. Don’t let a little fear stop you from getting what you want.
Use all of your Resources
Even if you study English at a language school it doesn’t mean you can’t learn outside of class.  Using as many different sources, methods and tools as possible, will allow you to learn faster.  There are many different ways you can improve your English, so don’t limit yourself to only one or two.  The internet is a fantastic resource for virtually anything, but for the language learner it's perfect.
Surround Yourself with English
The absolute best way to learn English is to surround yourself with it.  Take notes in English, put English books around your room, listen to English language radio broadcasts, watch English news, movies and television.  Speak English with your friends whenever you can. The more English material that you have around you, the faster you will learn and the more likely it is that you will begin “thinking in English.”
 .
Listen to Native Speakers as Much as Possible
There are some good English teachers that have had to learn English as a second language before they could teach it.  However, there are several  reasons why many of the best schools prefer to hire native English speakers. One of the reasons is that native speakers have a natural flow to their speech that students of English should try to imitate.  The closer ESL / EFL students can get to this rhythm or flow, the more convincing and comfortable they will become.
Watch English Films and Television
This is not only a fun way to learn but it is also very effective.  By watching English films (especially those with English subtitles) you can expand your vocabulary and hear the flow of speech from the actors.  If you listen to the news you can also hear different accents.
Listen to English Music
Music can be a very effective method of learning English.  In fact, it is often used as a way of improving comprehension.  The best way to learn though, is to get the lyrics (words) to the songs you are listening to and try to read them as the artist sings.  There are several good internet sites where one can find the words for most songs. This way you can practice your listening and reading at the same time.  And if you like to sing, fine.
Study As Often As Possible!
Only by studying things like grammar and vocabulary and doing exercises, can you really improve your knowledge of any language.
Do Exercises and Take Tests
Many people think that exercises and tests aren't much fun.  However, by completing exercises and taking tests you can really improve your English. One of the best reasons for doing lots of exercises and tests is that they give you a benchmark to compare your future results with.  Often, it is by comparing your score on a test you took yesterday with one you took a month or six months ago that you realize just how much you have learned.  If you never test yourself, you will never know how much you are progressing.Start now by doing some of the many exercises and tests on this site, and return in a few days to see what you've learned. Keep doing this and you really will make some progress with English.
Record Yourself
Nobody likes to hear their own voice on tape but like tests, it is good to compare your tapes from time to time.  You may be so impressed with the progress you are making that you may not mind the sound of your voice as much.
Listen to English
By this, we mean, speak on the phone or listen to radio broadcasts, audiobooks or CDs in English. This is different than watching the television or films because you can’t see the person that is speaking to you.  Many learners of English say that speaking on the phone is one of the most difficult things that they do and the only way to improve is to practice.
Finally
Have fun!

My comment this blog : In my opinion I think that learning English is difficult. Because it is not our language. Learning is difficult. But when I came to see that It's a fun course. And implicit knowledge in itself. English is not their practice. So we need not revisit it.
